Happy Birthday!

Well, another year has come and gone. I told my mom this morning that I don't feel any older. I suppose that sort of thing just sneaks up on you anyway. You just wake up one morning out of the blue and think, "Wow, I'm getting old. I FEEL old." I'd really like to put off that feeling for as long as possible. :D That certainly takes some effort though. So in the last 6 months I've changed my eating habits and started to exercise. I've lost almost 40 pounds total since I started this journey and I probably feel better at 32 than I did at 22! That's gotta mean something, right? So right now, I'm all about having fun, spending time with my kids and my family, taking steps to be healthy, scrapping more, and becoming more organized. That's quite a list to work on. Hopefully by next year I will have some great accomplishments to talk about and maybe some new goals. :D

Here are a bunch of pictures that I took recently.

A mother's job...try her best to embarass her children. :D This was from Cameron's 6th grade graduation ceremony Tuesday night.

The playground at the park we went to today.

Peek-a-boo Kailey!

One of the pretty spots in the park...

Ducks! You can feed the ducks in the park so they come up pretty close. We didn't have anything for them this time. It was our first time to this park. I didn't know. But you can bet the kids won't let me forget next time! The little ducks were too cute! They weren't quite "baby" ducks...looked more like "teenagers".

My last picture is what I got in the mail today from my ScrapFreak Secret Sister! Isn't it the CUTEST? Thank you secret sister!!

Nostalgia

Last night, after everyone went to bed, I was up late going through YEARS of pictures. I was working backwards and I finally got to when Cameron was a year old. He's 12 now! I just can't believe it! I decided to pull out a picture of Jakob from when he was a year...It was interesting to see the similarities in the two (they have different fathers) and realized that if my photos weren't in order and didn't have dates on them, I probably would NOT know the difference. What kind of mother am I? lol We already knew that Jakob and Kailey look almost identical as babies. I think I am going to take in a bunch of negatives from when Cameron was a baby (pre-digital times) and get them on a CD. I've always wanted to do a scrapbooking layout of all the kids at the same age. I wish I had more time to be in my scrapbook room...but, you know, I wouldn't give up too much time with my kids right now anyway. I love creating the memories as much as or more than I love creating the layouts right now. :)

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from out at my parents house this past weekend.

Jakob loves being silly and posing for the camera. I was lucky to get this one without the normal "cheesy" smile.

My boy is growing up! :( I asked him to watch the little ones so I could grill the brats...but he wanted to grill. He did a GREAT job!

My pretty girl. I absolutely love her sweetness and her fun personality!

I love this one of Kailey looking down at Jakob. Jakob is such a good big brother. He was worried about her falling...even though she couldn't really fit through there. lol

Do Over

So, I haven't posted in forever. I was having some computer issues and stopped posting and visiting my favorite online place SCRAPFREAK. So I am back. Let's see how well I can do this time with keeping up. :) The ladies at the Freak are very Inspirational so hopefully i can tap into some of that.

I'm going to work on posting some pics of my beloved kiddos, as well as try to get back into action with my scrapbooking. I love to create, but finding the time when I've got 2 little kids at home all day is not always possible.
